BURLINGTON: With less than two weeks until the election only one candidate for Lt. Governor is hitting the airwaves with a positive message.
Republican Randy Brock has run radio and TV ads attacking Progressive/Democrat David Zuckerman’s character and employing a Washington-style fear strategy to gain votes. Meanwhile, Sen. David Zuckerman is sticking with Michelle Obama’s adage, “when they go low, we go high.” Zuckerman’s new ad reminds voters they can count on him as Lt. Governor and highlights the endorsement of Senator Bernie Sanders. The ad touts Zuckerman’s experience as a farmer, small-business owner and long-time legislator.
“My opponent is wildly out-of-step with Vermonters on issues like raising the minimum wage, property tax relief, and climate change so I guess he feels attacking me is his only option,” said Zuckerman.
“Too often it’s Democrat-Republican; you believe in this-I believe in that. Like all Vermonters, I believe in getting the job done,” says Zuckerman in the ad voice-over.
The Zuckerman campaign expects the radio and TV message to be broadcast right up to Election Day.
